So Fresh!

It is beyond time to start fresh. I'm only making one resolution this year...
Be Happy.
There are plenty of other things I would like to accomplish as well, but I feel like if I can accomplish this I will be on the right track. I'm going to include in this making other people happy. Yet, that is one of the things that makes me happy so I guess it already ties in :)
I love my family.
I have the true gospel in my life.
There are wonderful friends surrounding me wherever I go.
Life is so good.
So I have no reason not to always be happy.
2011, I am glad to know you

Go! Fight! Win!

This morning my mom, Tara, and I got up early to go watch the commencement ceremony of Hunter's cheer camp at OU. The thing lasted for about 2 hours and at times was incredibly dull, but still it brought back how fun cheerleading is! I have been so full of stress while I start to get things ready for college in Virginia that I haven't really focused on cheer. I am not big on doing things over the internet so this has been a challenge. Anyway..during all the rush of applications for different things and bills and room assignments I have not really let myself get excited about getting to cheer at SVU this fall. The school is tiny and everyone gets to be involved so it isn't a HUGE deal that I made the squad, but still, it will be so much fun! It will also be a great way to make new friends and to get accustomed to living so far away from family. I am sure it will be full of memories and good times :) Go Knights!!

Roomies!

I FiNAllY found out who I am going to be rooming with at SVU this year! Not knowing has been driving me nuts. Two of the girls are from Texas and one is from Idaho. They all seem really fun! Two of them play instruments and the other is big into theater. Just from first introductions this is what I know about them...
Kaia- She is currently in Thailand (that could be a joke, not factual information just yet, I'll have to ask her lol). She plays the trumpet and is a huge reader.
Jauphlynn- She is the theater buff. She has a brother on a mission. According to her, she can be crazy at times, but knows when it's too much.
Brigitte-She has moved around all over the country. She wants to be an oncologist and plays the flute. She also loves to read. Her hobbies include being outside...a lot. She has 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
I am even more excited to go to SVU now that I know who I will be living with. It is going to be interesting getting to know these girls better while living with them for the next few months :)

Fun Facts for Today

Yellow Banana Peppers- They have 3.5 times the Vitamin C an Orange does (too bad they're yucky)
Strawberries- Keep your pearly whites clean!
Blueberries- Make you smarter and helps you retain information better
There are some other ones, but I can't really rememeber them as of right now. I also learned that Ku-la-bwa is "carrot" in Chinese. I learned that from watching Ni Hao Ky-Lan. Gage likes that show :) Gotta love all the random information you can learn while keeping Mr. Gager..he really is a character. Also, just a side note, ZUMBA is amazing and everyone should take it!

Rude Alert

I just wanted to take quick minute to talk about my "A little too Familiar" post. I do not mean to sound like I absolutely hate what I do everyday. Gage is so fun and always full of interesting things to keep me entertained. Heidi is sweet and easy to be around and work for. I just meant that I do a lot of the same things. I think it's just that I am anxious about going off to college and have new and exciting experiences. Sorry for sounding like a brat :( I hate it when I do that!

Happy 3rd of July!

Last night my family had a few friends over for to celebrate the 4th. We had hamburgers and hot dogs and lots of yummy desserts! My boyfriend, Dillon, and his family came over and a couple other friends. We watched a little So You Think You Can Dance (which always makes me wish I was a ballerina), played a great round of signs, and ate way too much! When it got dark we headed out to the golf course to fairway 11 and watched the fireworks. They were really pretty, but I had a hard time focusing because I was being eaten alive by bugs :) It was so great to just stop and spend time with family and close friends. I am really grateful that I live in this country and have the freedoms that I do.This is the fruit pizza/flag I made for the get together. So yummy!

Pretzel Women

I have wanted to do yoga Forever! Yet, every time I make plans to go somethings prevents it from happening. Heidi needs me to watch Gage a little longer, yoga is canceled, or I have gymnastics..the list goes on. Anyway, so this morning at 8:30 a.m. is the first time I am able to go. When I get there I am one of 8 people in the class and everyone, including the instructor, is at least 30 years older than I am. Instantly I am thinking this class is gonna be weak because I am going to be WAY more flexible than these women. Boy was I wrong! These ladies are folding in ways I have never even seen attempted. One women can sit folded up all over herself and touch her head to the floor with out so much as a grunt. By the end of the class I was sweaty and sore, the other ladies were just fine talking about how relaxing that class had just been. I had many words for the class...relaxing wasn't close to one of them! I definitely got a lesson in "Don't judge a book by it's cover" today.
